  • Where to Order: https://www.facebook.com/haycreekcandles

  • Availability: It is not hard to order from this vendor at all! The vendor currently has an open custom list of the Facebook group page! The vendor will no longer have flash sales on the group page, however they will be holding restocks several times during the month and will announce them with the scent list ahead of time. They do have an Etsy store, but they do not have it stocked as they are leaning more towards having their own website again as they used to years ago. All of the main sales are held on the group page. They also have monthly theme samples available. The next upcoming theme sampler will be August "Down the Shore". Theme boxes consist of 9 scent shots and 2 surprise non wax items related to the theme. They are $26.50 shipped. August will go on sale sometime the first week of July. Mystery bags are offered often. Mystery bags are $25 shipped, and are usually anywhere between 18-20 pounds + of wax. The mystery bags are mostly fruity bakery blends, scent shots, chunks, cupcakes, tarts etc.

  • Turn Around Time (TAT): 7 – 10 business days from when the invoice is paid.

  • Price: $$$
  • Cure Time: There is no cure time on the wax, but the vendor states waiting a week or two can never hurt.

  • Warmer Recommended: The vendor recommends using a tea-light, 20 watt Glade, or a 24 watt hot plate warmer for the wax. The vendor personally prefers the Glade warmer. The vendor does not recommend the Febreeze or bulb warmers. Although the wax will melt in these warmers, it does not perform at its best.

  • Wax Look: The wax is very soft. It smudges easily. Once received I popped it into the freezer for several minutes and I could handle it fairly easily. As you can see the cupcakes look great(only took a picture of one because they all had a similar look). They arrived in little bakery bags.

  • Cold Smell:
      • Hot Orange Danish Cheesecake – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         This creamy orange scent has distinguishable bakery notes.

      • Orange Creamsickle Skittles – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         A creamy berry scent with detectable grape notes.

      • Vanilla Orange Danish – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         A strong orange bakery type scent with a hint of vanilla.

      • Snickers Coffee Marshmallow – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         Smells like a rich coffee with sweet and creamy notes.

      • Peanutbutter Cup – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         Peanuts and chocolate combine to create an interesting smell. I don’t know if I would call it a peanutbutter cup, but it was interesting. Hopefully it smells more appealing when melting.

      • Skittles – Cupcake Melt 3 – 4 oz.
    -         A fruity smell with grape as the most distinguishable fruity note.

    Sum Up:
    • Overall Impression
      • I hate to say that the vendor seems slightly disorganized, but she does. On top of that, my order is not the first I hear of being incorrect. Although my order did get corrected, others did not. I heard one customer say that she informed the vendor that she did not receive her full order, and after several reminders gave up on trying to get the remainder of the order. I have also heard several other negative rumors regarding this vendor, but will not feed the rumor mill by repeating them. Until I see hard evidence to support said rumors, I cannot attest to them. I can only corroborate my personal experience, which was not too bad despite errors. In regards to these rumors, I cannot with good conscious continue to recommend this vendor. This is honestly a shame, because I did enjoy the wax.

    • Pros
      • Fun scents

    • Cons
      • Scents are lost within scent mixtures.
      • Order Fulfillment Accuracy

    • Overall Liked Scents
      • Orange Creamsicle Skittles
      • Snickers Marshmallow Coffee
      • Skittles

    • Overall Disliked Scents
      • Hot Orange Danish Cheesecake
      • Vanilla Orange Danish
      • Peanutbutter Cup

    • If it ends up in a destash, why?
      • Hot Orange Danish Cheesecake
    -         Not strong enough.
      • Vanilla Orange Danish
    -         Not strong enough.

    • How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
      • I honestly hate bakery bags with a passion unless. Unless the amount of wax fills the bakery bag, I prefer other storage.
      • Anything creamy that is mixed with the Hot Orange Danish scent should only essentially add creaminess to the scent. The Hot Orange Danish should be the primary scent smelled within this type of mixture. Somehow, the Hot Orange Danish Cheesecake lost the Hot Orange Danish. This resulted in a very weak scent.
      • Although Orange Creamiscle Skittles smelled good, I felt that the orange creamiscle was lost in the combination. After smelling the skittles by itself, I could not detect any orange creamiscle within this combination. Perhaps adding less skittles and more orange creamiscle will balance the scent out.

    • Was it worth the money?
      • Yes

    • Would I purchase from this vendor again?
      • Due to multiple negative stories I have heard regarding this vendor, I feel as if it would be a risk ordering from this vendor again.
