            Glitterati is owned and operated by Janine Jenzano. Janine started as a wax addict herself. A friend of hers suggested that she start making wax and volunteered to be a tester. After vigorous testing and months of sending the friend wax, the wax became good enough that her friend offered to pay for the wax. Thus, Glitterati was born!

• Availability: Although the vendor has the occasional mystery bag sign up, getting on the custom list can prove very difficult.

• Turn Around Time (TAT): The TAT for my custom order was two weeks, after being placed on a wait list for several months.

• Cure Time: The vendor says that the wax is predominately paraffin so that little cure time is needed. I will be waiting no less than one month.

• Warmer Recommended: The vendor recommends at least a 12 watt hot plate warmer or higher.

• Wax Look:
• Clean and colorful!
• I have always loved the look of this vendor’s wax. The individual colors are bright and vibrant and the combinations are just so beautiful. This is what chunk wax should look like!!!

 

• Cold Smell:
• Cinnamon Raisin Bread

-         This scent truly smells like fresh bread dough. The cinnamon raisin aspect of the scent comes across as a cinnamon undertone with a slight hint of fruit like sweetness.

• Mountain Dew

-         Probably the most realistic mountain dew scent I have smelled so far! The perfect proportion of lemon and lime mixed with fizziness!

• Warm Apple Vanilla Sugar

-         A creamy apple scent with subtle spice.

• Lemon Biscotti

-         A sweet lemon scent with wonderful bakery notes to bring the scent together.

• Glazed Apple Strudel

-         A sweet and spicy apple scent with subtle bakery notes.

• Lemonade

-         A sweet lemonade scent with a very subtle tartness.

• Monkey Bread

-         A delicious fresh baked bread scent with cinnamon and sugar as the predominant scent notes.

• Orange Lace Cake

-         A creamy orange scent with subtle bakery tones to bring the scent together.

-         A creamy bakery scent. I think predict this will be an amazing blender!

• Holiday (80s)

-         This smells like a sweet and creamy blend with added fruity notes. I even detect some effervescent like notes. Overall, a very pleasant cold scent.

• Cruel Summer (80s)

-         A creamy banana is the dominant note in this scent.

• Beaver Tail Waffle Cone

-         A creamy bakery scent with subtle cinnamon sugar notes to bring everything together.

• Orange Soda/Whipped Cream/Vanilla Ice Cream

-         An extremely creamy orange scent with subtle effervescence.

• Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

-         A strong creamy realistic blueberry scent.

-         A creamy orange scent!

• Pistachio Toasted Marshmallow

-         A creamy pistachio pudding (I think pistachio scents resemble a sweet cherry almond scent).

• Salted Apple Pie Sticky Bunz

-         The cinnamon sugar of the sticky bunz is the first aspect of this scent to hint you. The saltyness is very subtle. The scent is well rounded by the subtle scent of apples.

• Tickled Pink

-         A wonderful pink sugar blend with a subtle fruity like sweetness and subtle bakery notes.

• Cotton Candy Marshmallow Waffle Cone

-         A sweet cotton candy scent blended to perfection with subtle bakery notes.

• Nilla Wafer Banana Pudding

-         The banana pudding scent is strong with this one, and comes across as a creamy banana scent.

• Pink Pound Cake

-         A delicious pink sugar blend that is made even more wonderful with just the right about of added creamy bakery scent!

• Creamy Strawberry Lemon

-         Considering how picky I am about my strawberry scents, I really do enjoy this blend. The strawberry and lemon are blended in perfect proportions making any issues I may have with the strawberry scent by itself irrelevant.

• Cotton Candy Chardonnay

-         A sugary blend with a hint of fruitiness and effervescence.

Wax Melting Review: 

• Detailed Description of Each Smell
• Cinnamon Raisin Bread

-         A strong bakery like sweet bread scent with cinnamon undertones. The scent strongly resembles that of a cinnamon raisin bagel.

• Mountain Dew

-         A light yet strong (the scent is light in a sense that it is not overwhelming, but still remains strong) effervescent lemon lime scent. It smells just like a fresh can of mountain dew!

• Warm Apple Vanilla Sugar

-         A light crisp apple scent with subtle spice.

• Lemon Biscotti

-         A delicious bakery scent with subtle lemon notes.

• Glazed Apple Strudel

-         A light sweet cinnamon sugar apple scent.

• Lemonade

-         A wonderfully strong sweet lemon scent with just the perfect hint of tartness.

• Monkey Bread

-         A light cinnamon sugar bakery scent. Just the perfect amount of sweetness.

• Orange Lace Cake

-         This scent is predominately composed of sweet creamy bakery notes with an orange scent as the undertone that brings it all together!

• Fried Ice Cream/Waffle Cone/Marshmallow

-         A very creamy scent with some subtle sugared bakery like notes underneath. Overall this scent wasn’t bad as a standalone, but I think it would make a superb blender scent.

• Holiday (80s)

-         A beautiful slightly effervescent fruity scent.

• Cruel Summer (80s)

-         A creamy banana scent. Not too overwhelming with the banana, but very distinctive.

• Beaver Tail Waffle Cone

-         A light creamy sweet glazed like bakery scent. A subtle hint of cinnamon sugar. This would make an excellent blending scent.

• Orange Soda/Whipped Cream/Vanilla Ice Cream

-         When I say extremely creamy, I mean EXTREMELY creamy! It wasn’t just extremely creamy, but it was a delicious creamy. Cream aspects of scents are generally very faint, putrid, or just right (there really isn’t any other version.) This is just right. The amount of orange and effervescence is also spot on despite the extreme creaminess of the scent that may seem overpowering.

• Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

-         A very creamy realistic blueberry scent.

• Orange Julius

-         A deliciously creamy orange scent. This scent actually is predominantly creamy with orange as the undertones.

• Pistachio Toasted Marshmallow

-         A bit of a tart scent that resembles a cherry almond like pistachio pudding.

• Salted Apple Pie Sticky Bunz

-         At first this scent reminds me of a caramelized apple like scent. Then the caramelized smell tapered off into a beautiful sticky bunz cinnamon sugar scent.

• Tickled Pink

-         A delicious pink sugar blend that has subtle sweet bakery undertones.

• Cotton Candy Marshmallow Waffle Cone

-         I am really picky about which cotton candy scents I like. This one passed the test! Probably the most realistic smelling cotton candy scent I’ve ever smelled along with some subtle creaminess.

• Nilla Wafer Banana Pudding

-         A creamy banana scent with subtle bakery notes.

• Pink Pound Cake

-         The two scents in this blend definitely complimented each other wonderfully. There was a perfect proportion of each. A truly delicious scent!!!! The pound cake aspect from the cold smell truly came through to provide a perfect bakery aspect to this pink sugar blend.

• Creamy Strawberry Lemon

-         A sweet and creamy blend that combines to form a unique fruity scent all of its own that really doesn’t individual resemble one of its scent components more than the other. The combination also seems to produce a bit of a subtle bakery like note.

• Cotton Candy Chardonnay

-         A bubbly fruity scent with subtle realistic chardonnay alcohol undertones.

-         Similar, but much more bold when warmed. I really couldn’t detect any bakery notes in the cold smell, but the combination produced notes that I can only describe as slightly bakery like.

• Cotton Candy Chardonnay

-         The scent translates differently. Cold it actually smells like a freshly opened bottle of alcohol. The alcohol aspect of the scent is not as harsh once warmed.

• Although this vendor is hard to order from, I really have enjoyed the experience. Her wax is beautiful, it smells good, and the blends are awesome. Her wax has definitely earned a spot in my permanent collection. Hopefully I can keep her drawer stocked!

-         This scent just didn’t do it for me. It was actually a really nice scent overall, but in compassion to the other scents from this vendor it seemed to fade quickly.

• Lemon Biscotti

-         This scent wasn’t really unique or different from any other vendor’s lemon biscotti. I actually prefer this scent from other vendors more.

• Pistachio Toasted Marshmallow

-         This pistachio scent just wasn’t that impressive to me. I prefer this particular scent better from other vendors.

• Cotton Candy Chardonnay

-         This scent actually was much better than I thought it would be based on cold smell. Despite the fact the alcohol scent became more subtle; the bitterness is something I still am not a huge fan of.

• Warm Apple Vanilla Sugar

-         This scent wasn’t particularly unique or strong enough for me to keep it.

• Glazed Apple Strudel

-         This scent was not strong enough for me to consider worth keeping.

• How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
• Creamy Strawberry Lemon

-         Something was missing from this scent. I feel like it could have fared really well with slightly more lemon.

• Lemon Biscotti

-         I would recommend adding a little lemon fragrance oil because the bakery aspect of the scent overpowers the lemon aspect.

• Warm Apple Vanilla Sugar

-         This scent needed a bit more sweetness.

• Was it worth the money?
• Definitely! These chunks were huge, and a lot bigger than I thought they may be (I don’t know why I was so surprised; she tells you approximately how large her chunks are).

• YES! I hope I can get on her custom order list in the future! Now comes the hard part, narrowing done the list of the scents I liked so I know what to get in bulk.
