An
artificial cotton candy smell.

All I can
smell in this scent is the Starbucks coffee. I am not a huge fan of Starbucks
coffee because I think the beans are overcooked, and it always smells burnt. I
am hoping the other aspects of this blend overpower the burnt coffee scent.
- PF Changs
-
This
scent kind of reminds me of the popular pumpkin pecan waffles scent. It has
bakery notes and hints of maple and cinnamon.
- Wicked
-
A sweet
soap like scent.

- Detailed Description of Each Smell:

Although
weak, the only scent that came through on this particular scent was that artificial
cotton candy smell.
- Grey’s Anatomy
-
A light
coffee scent with subtle sweet bakery notes.
- PF Changs
-
A light
sweet pastry like scent. Subtle notes of cinnamon and possibly maple.
- Wicked
-
I couldn’t
smell anything other than a very subtle hint of that soapy like scent I smelled
on cold smell.

Sum Up:
- Overall Impression
- I have heard a lot about this vendor. I have to say she has some awesomely creative blends and I love her themes. The look of her wax is just as creative as her blends. Unfortunately, this vendor will not be earning a spot in my wax collection. I felt as if some of the scents were very artificial, and those that I did like were simply not strong enough for me.
- Pros
- Creative Blends
- Beautiful Looking!
- Although the wax is highly sought after, it is not impossible to get a hold of.
- Cons
- Not all scents available at all restocks.
- Scents do not have an incredibly strong throw.
- Overall Liked Scents
- Grey’s Anatomy
- PF Changs
- Overall Disliked Scents
- Wicked
- Elsa
- If it ends up in a destash, why?
- Grey’s Anatomy
-
Not strong enough.
- PF Changs
-
Not strong enough.
- Wicked
-
Not strong enough.
- Elsa
-
Not strong enough, and I wasn’t a
fan of the cotton candy scent oil used.
- How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
- Overall, the wax throw needs to be improved.
- Some of the scent oils used came off as artificial, such as the scent oils used for Wicked.
- Was it worth the money?
- Not really.
- Would I purchase from this vendor again?
- Probably not. Although I liked some of the scents, the throw left a lot to be desired.
Strange. My supertarts including Pf Changs are ridiculous strong
ReplyDeleteIt could be a product consistency issue. I had to literally stand over it to smell it. The more popular a vendor gets, the more products they make to meet demand. Unfortunately, quality and consistency of quality generally takes a hit when this happens.
ReplyDeleteFor me ST is the absolute strongest vendor around, but I do find you have to use a 20 wall hot plate or bulb warmer. If I use a 24 watt hot plate I can't smell a thing hardly. While ST isn't at the top of my list as far as scents it is the top as far as strength and throw.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has different experiences. I have friends who love Supertarts, so much so I have considered giving it another try. All wax should throw in a 24 watt warmer. It may not throw as long, but it is the highest wattage and therefore the hottest. I generally test in multiple warmers, I use a glade 20 watt, 24 watt mainstays, and a tealight warmer. The issue I have is consistency. Some I've heard throws well (from the friends who love Supertarts), others don't (heard from the same friends). I don't want only some of my money to be well spent. I think this is why personally I've had trouble with giving Supertarts another try. It also seems more popular which makes accessibility more tricky. Everyone has a different experience, and this was mine. I welcome feedback because in all honesty, I can't review everything and I am just one person providing one person's experience.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Domestic Designs yet?
ReplyDeleteI have not. I took a break from reviewing once I started my nursing career, but hope to get back to it.
