Pre-Review/Post Order:

Gem Delights is a business owned by a friendly vendor named Briana. Briana started making candles approximately six years ago as a hobby. With a push from friends and family, Gem Delights was born. The vendor takes pride in her customer service and it really does show. I have to make a personal comment and add that considering I contacted the vendor through her website, her response was super speedy (less than 24 hours to respond to a message I sent to her “contact me” section of the website). The vendor states that each and every wax vendor is different and has their own great qualities, but hopes that her honesty, great products, and fast custom order TAT will set her company apart from others.

  • Availability: The vendor has not had to close shop in the past and plans to keep her shop open in the future.

  • Turn Around Time (TAT): The average TAT is 7 days, but the vendor advertise a 7-14 day TAT just in case it takes a little longer. RTS items are shipped within 2 business days.

  • Price: $$$

  • Cure Time: Each blend the vendor uses as a recommended cure time. For the wax tarts the vendor uses a parasoy blend and recommends 14 days, but are usually ready in 10 days (most likely accounting for shipping time). The candles are made of 100% soy which require a longer cure time. The vendor states that the candles require at least two weeks cure time, if not longer. I personally believe that soy ages beautifully, so the longer you can wait the better!

Sum Up:
  • Overall Impression
    • I think that for the newer waxie, this vendor is the perfect place to start. I say the newer waxie, because she essentially has everything on her website a new waxie would need, everything down to the polypropolene bags that you should store your wax products in.
    • Also, if you are looking for reasonably priced prize-type wax items, her products are great.
    • After trying the sample she sent me of the tea-light, I am very curious as to the scent throw of her candles. The tea-light packed a punch for such a small wax item.
    • Her prices are reasonable and her customer service is great.

  • Pros
    • Great Selection of Different Wax Related Products! – Including Polypropylene Bags!
    • Great Customer Service!
    • Reasonable TAT for RTS & Custom Orders
    • Reasonably Priced
    • Soft Wax (Easy to Cut)

  • Cons
    • Soft tart wax may not withstand hotter weather shipping.
    • Not a huge scent selection.

  • Overall Liked Scents
    • Peppermint Twist
    • Coconut Dream

  • Overall Disliked Scents
    • N/A

  • If it ends up in a destash, why?
    • N/A

  • How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
    • She may already do this, but I would highly recommend double bagging items in hotter weather. Nothing melted, but I can foresee it happening.
    • Again, she may already do this. I would also recommend a disclaimer for orders during hotter weather in case melting has been an issue in the past. Again, she may already do this. I generally believe that this should be done for all wax vendors, but especially for those with softer wax.

  • Was it worth the money?
    • Yes!

  •  Would I purchase from this vendor again?
    • Probably, considering I am curious to try her candles.
