The Shonk Shop is owned and operated by Jamie Shonk and her husband. They began selling used clothes about 2 years ago, and then began selling new clothing approximately 2 months later. The couple’s love for candles and tarts sparked a business expansion. The couple only entered the wax world about 3 months ago. This vendor uses the highest quality paraffin wax and fragrance oil in their tarts and they put as much fragrance oil that the wax will hold to get the best throw possible!). They value customer feedback and use all they receive to improve the quality of their products. These wax vendors are inspired by their growing family business that sparked from doing something they are passionate about enjoying. This vendor sets themselves apart from others by their fast TAT.

• Availability: This vendor is extremely easy to order from. They always restock before they run out. They always have all listed scent oils in stock at all times.

• Turn Around Time (TAT): 24 – 48 hours!!!

• Cure Time: 7 to 14 days. (Although my fiancé is impatient and burned a sample that came with his birthday gift prior to the recommended cure time, and it threw crazy well!) I will still be waiting my minimum month cure time.

Beautiful Vanilla Bacon Milkshake Tart!

• Wax Look:
• This wax was clean and came in a variety of colors.
• I was most impressed with the sample heart tart. It was a vibrant pink and had little flowers as part of the heart mold.

-         A very sweet floral scent. I am generally not a fan of floral scents, but I love this scent cold!

-         Due to the similarity of other scents by this vendor when compared with cold smell, I was very surprised that this had any scent at all when warmed. It actually produced a much stronger fragrance than the cold smell would lead one to believe.

• Overall Impression
• I have to say that I love this company. The owner is someone who got into wax because she enjoys melting just as much as she enjoys making it! She is a sweetheart! Great customer service is one thing this company has, but the wax is decent too!!!! I honestly feel as if this company has a great future.  The vendor takes pride in her work, and strives to be unique. I told her I loved the sample soap she sent me, and she informed me that it was a mold she had custom made to be different from others. I told her the soap belonged in a hotel (yea it looked that fancy). She values feedback, and doesn’t want to just provide a good product she seeks customer satisfaction.

• Although scents may not travel, they are super strong within the rooms they are being melted in!
• Lightning fast TAT!
• Excellent customer service. Honestly, the owner is a sweetheart.
• This vendor always seems to have some great sales going on! I would say I notice on average…1 a week. If for some reason you don’t see a sale..give it a few days…she will have one!!!!

• How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
• The scents that I did not like, are ones I did not expect to be exceptionally strong. Perhaps recommending these as a blender scent as opposed to a primary scent would be a better way to advertise similar scents!

-         For example: Cream soda would make an excellent mixer. Perhaps making an Orange Cream Soda would be a great mix for this particular scent!!!

-         Another example: Cream Cheese Frosting is perhaps the most perfect creaminess for any scent that needs creaminess. I hope to see some good mixtures with this in the future.

-         A wonderfully creamy sweet pumpkin scent with just the right subtle touch of spice.

-         A wonderful fall scent that is similar to a mulled apple cider hint with spice that isn’t too overwhelming.

-         Probably one of the better funnel cakes I have smelled. The perfect amount of powdery cinnamon sugar mixed with bakery notes.
