Pre-Review/Post Order:

This is a fun company owned by a guy named Mark. The company began when Mark was in graduate school and became depressed with the endless amount of technical reading. During a break study break, Mark read an article about how to make candles. In attempts to prolong his study break, he ventured out and bought the supplies required for candle making. Mark had a lot of fun in his candle making and didn’t want the fun to stop. He thought about how there are currently candles that capture life’s great experiences and thought about flipping the idea, and as a result Flick Candles was born.
Although the names are funny, none of the candles actually smell bad. The vendor report that all the candles have great scents and names that hopefully can bring a laugh to individuals who may have fallen on tough times.

    • Awesome! I have to say I love the concept of these candles!

Sum Up:
  • Overall Impression
    • This vendor is new and it seems there is much to improve. I think the idea behind the company is absolutely brilliant. The wax needs work.

  • Pros
    • They make great gifts, especially for the person who has everything!
    • Gives you a reason to laugh about life’s low points.
    • Great customer service!

  • Cons
    • Although some of the scents hint to what they may smell like, others are complete guesses it seems. The vendor assures that the scents are pleasant; it still may prove difficult deciding if a scent is for you simply by browsing the website.

  • Overall Liked Scents
    • Nicotine Pumpkin Patch

  • Overall Disliked Scents
    • Gingerbread Broken Home

  • If it ends up in a destash, why?
    • N/A (I don’t destash half melted candles.)

  • How the wax could be improved?/Was it missing something?
    • This is more of business advice than anything else. I believe the company would sell a ton more candles if they actually listed what scent notes were present in the candles where the names and descriptions leave a bit too much to the imagination scent wise. Most people know generally what scents they like and dislike, and will be more willing to try a candle in general if they had a more in depth knowledge of the different notes it contained.

    • I don’t know if the vendor is using the maximum amount of scent oil, but it does not smell as if they are. If they are, they made need to look into a vendor with a stronger fragrance oils.

  • Was it worth the money?
    • Yes! They are still freaking hilarious and the laugh and decoration alone was well worth the money

  •  Would I purchase from this vendor again?
    • Yes! Perfect gifts for the person who has everything.
