Rosegirls was started in 2002 by Kathy Fahley, the mother of the current owner Jenny Oaks.  As with many vendors, the art of wax started as a hobby. In 2010 Kathy developed health issues and offered to teach Jenny the family business. Jenny had just finished her bachelor’s degree and was working a stressful job, so she jumped on the chance to run her own business.  The business expanded and the shop was opened in December of 2013.  The shop is a tiny boutique attached to their wax workshop. The store offers a variety of handmade items in addition to wax, and Jenny has a blast running the store.  Rosegirls is the original creator of the chunk method of blending different scents of wax and has a very unique look to their chunks that separates them from the rest!

• Availability: The vendor is highly sought after and can be challenging to order from. The vendor opens for custom orders 2 -3 times a year. The vendor does announce openings but they are not open for very long.  They have also started offering samplers between openings. The vendor also does flash sales on occasion.

• Turn Around Time (TAT): Anywhere from 1 to 6 months. So an average would be around 3 months. The vendor does their best to keep TAT down, but it is very difficult to do considering the custom blend options available when the store is open for custom orders.

• Price: $$$

• Cure Time: The vendor says she personally recommends no less than two weeks, although she personally struggles with this. The average customer would recommend no less than one month for this vendor’s wax.  If you can wait longer, it ages like fine wine!

• Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting - A wonderful bakery scent with a cinnamon sugar and slight spice as the predominant notes. A realistic cream cheese frosting that smells as if it was straight from the can as the underlying base notes.

• Frosted Streuselkutchen - A wonderfully sweet pastry/bakery scent that is perfectly blended with cinnamon sugar.

• Apple Fluff Pumpkin - A beautiful apple & pumpkin spice scent. My fiancé has stolen the whole bag from me. Out of all the scents he stole, he can have this one as opposed to the others.

• Lemon Biscotti Vanilla Crunch Donuts - A sweet and creamy lemon pastry scent. Absolutely delicious!

They work together, sell under the same name, and the wax company was passed from mother to daughter allowing wax properties that are bound to be very similar and produced using similar secret Rosegirl techniques. I smell a realistic eggnog with a spicy note that is toned down from the sweetness of the sweet pumpkin pie and whipped cream. The pumpkin pie and whipped cream blend as they should into one beautiful scent that uniquely highlights the eggnog.
  o   Orange Revival/ Vanilla Wafers/ Waffle Cone – A sweet yet somewhat tart orange scent with bakery notes weaved within the scent.

  o  Sweet Pumpkin Pie/ Eggnog/ Whipped Cream – A realistic strong creamy eggnog scent with subtle, only in comparison to the strong eggnog, but definitely noticeable sweet pumpkin undertones.
  o   Orange Revival/ Vanilla Wafers/ Waffle Cone – This scent blends so well together. Both bakery and orange scents are easily distinguishable. The orange is sweet yet subtly tart scent, while the bakery scent resembles a cookie type scent.
