Common Wax World Terminology

Please comment below different terms that others may be unfamiliar with in the wax world so that it may be added to the document.

Scent Throw: Scent throw is the distance the smell from the wax is able to travel when in a warmer.

Cure Time/Curing: Curing time is the amount of time you let a wax sit for optimum scent throw.

TAT: TAT stands for Turn Around Time! This is the amount of time that it takes a vendor to process, make, and ship your order.

Destash: A stash of wax that is sold for a cheaper price than the vendor sold it originally. Destashes are a great way to try a variety of vendors.

RAOK: Random Acts of Kindness. This is a little something scent to someone to brighten their day.   

Overpour: Essentially sprinkles on top. A scent drizzled overtop the two main scents.

Ass Wax: Extra wax odds and ends. This wax may not be the prettiest wax, may not be labeled (with either the vendor name and/or scent name), and/or may just be of an unknown age and/or older than 6-12 months old.. This wax is generally sold for the price of shipping only.
